visiting us

From your first visit to payment options and policies, here’s everything you need to know about visiting our dental office. We look forward to seeing you again, or for the first time!

Your First Visit

You’re on the way! We’re always excited to welcome new patients. Before your first visit, please prepare the following items:

A. Completed Forms
Print and fill out the Medical and Dental History and New Patient Information forms and bring them to your appointment.

B. Insurance Details
Your dental insurance provider, the group/provider #, and the certificate/ID # (if you have dental insurance).

C. Dental Records and X-rays
If you’ve visited another dental clinic in the past year, ask them to send us your dental records and x-rays (or ask us to do it for you). Usually, it only takes a phone call.

Comprehensive Examination

At your first visit and at regular intervals, we do a comprehensive examination to account for all aspects of your medical and oral health. Even if you only have a problem with one tooth.

Why? A comprehensive exam is absolutely necessary for us to find out what’s best for your whole health and help you form a “big picture” plan — so you can achieve your best possible health and reduce your dental fees.

Rest assured, we’ll always address your concerns, listen to you, and respect your wishes.

Payment Options

To accommodate all of our patients we accept insurance, direct billing, payment plans, cash, debit, and credit cards.

Dental Insurance and Direct Billing

We accept all major employer and private dental insurance plans, and submit “predeterminations” for treatment on your behalf.

Simply bring your dental insurance provider, group/provider number, and certificate/ID number with you on your first visit.

We offer Direct Billing. If you have Alberta Blue Cross or Sun Life, the insurance portion of your fees can be paid directly at the end of your appointment. So you don’t have to pay the full amount up front and wait to be reimbursed later. To sign up, just ask our team (it’s easy!).

Payment Plans

For major treatments not covered by insurance, we offer simple and affordable payment plans through LendCare.

To apply, tap “Get pre-qualified” on the right side of this page. (If you can’t see it, try disabling your popup- or ad-blocker.)

Don’t hesitate to contact us and discuss your options.

Cash, debit, and credit cards

We accept cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

Missed Appointment Policy

To change or cancel an appointment, we require 2 business days advance notice and you must speak directly with our staff.

Changes and cancellations are not accepted by email or voicemail.

Our fee for missed appointments is $100/hour.

Thank you for understanding that we have a busy schedule and work very hard to accommodate all of our patients’ needs, including emergencies.

A change to our schedule without sufficient notice means that other patients are not seen as promptly.

Dental Anaesthetic and Numbing Reversal

If your procedure requires anaesthetic, but you are concerned about the time it takes for dental anaesthetic to wear off, we offer a numbing reversal treatment so the “freezing” comes out as you leave the clinic.

Perfect if you have to speak for work or have a lunch or dinner date afterwards.

Many patients have commented on our dentists’ skillful application of dental anaesthetic, but we empathize with negative past experiences and the “fear of sharp things”. We never say the word “n**dle”.

COVID Protocols

As a dental clinic, we already have a high standard of infection control and cleanliness. Your safety is our highest priority.

To protect you during dental visits our screening measures, clinic environment, and personal protective equipment are fully compliant with the guidelines set by the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta.

You can expect the following extra hygiene and safety protocols at your visit:

In the clinic:

  • air is cleaned with an anti-viral HyperHEPA IQ Air Purification system

  • physical distancing is in effect except when receiving dental treatment

Patients:

  • verbally pre-screened with a health questionnaire

  • provided with a complementary ASTM-certified surgical mask

Team members:

  • wear additional protective gear such as face shields

KEEPING YOU COMFORTABLE

These extra protocols haven’t changed our objectives of keeping you comfortable and inspiring you to have the best oral health possible. So our new protective equipment doesn’t make us look like movie villains — no welding or gas masks here!

COMPLETE CDSA GUIDELINES

The complete guidelines applied in our protocols are available in PDF format at the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta website ↗.
