ceramic restorations
Thanks to modern technology, you can get natural-looking, long-lasting ceramic restorations fitted and installed in a single visit.
Our CEREC system creates your ceramic crown, veneer, inlay, or onlay right in our office, while you wait!
Single-visit CEREC System
Our CEREC machine allows us to create aesthetically pleasing, strong, and durable ceramic dental restorations in a single day.
What is CEREC and how does it work?
CEREC stands for "Chair-side Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics".
First, we scan the area to be restored with a three-dimensional camera and design your restoration to specification. The system is completely digital.
While you wait, the CEREC machine efficiently and precisely mills your restoration from a solid piece of bio-compatible dental ceramic.
We verify, prepare, and permanently install your restoration in just one visit. There’s no need for impressions, temporary crowns, or extra time off work!

Dental Crowns
A dental crown is a restoration that covers and strengthens an entire tooth that has been weakened or broken. (Sometimes, it’s called a dental cap.)
Ceramic crowns look, feel, and function like your natural tooth. They are stain-proof, wear-resistant, and long-lasting.
We can create and place your ceramic crown in a single visit using our CEREC system!
When is a dental crown needed?
A tooth is considered to be weakened when a considerable portion of it has been replaced with filling material, usually due to a large cavity or a root canal.
Teeth with large fillings that replace entire cusps or undermine cusps of teeth are best crowned before they break apart.
A dental crown is also needed when a tooth is cracked. If the crack extends below the gum line, a crown lengthening procedure is used to prepare the tooth for restoration.
What are zirconia crowns?
Zirconia crowns are an even more durable type of ceramic crown, made out of zirconium dioxide. They are also called “monolithic zirconia” crowns.
A zirconia crown combines the strength of a metal crown with the natural, toothlike appearance of ceramic.
Because of their high-strength and durability, zirconia crowns require less tooth-preparation and are well-suited to restoring teeth in the back of your mouth.
Thanks to our continuous technology upgrades, we do zirconia crowns in a single visit too!

Dental Veneers
A dental veneer is a thin layer of natural-looking ceramic placed on your teeth to improve your smile.
Ceramic veneers are stain-proof, wear-resistant, and long-lasting.
We can create and place your ceramic veneers in a single visit using our CEREC system!
When is a dental veneer needed?
Veneers can be used to close gaps, change the shape or colour of your teeth, and even straighten teeth without orthodontics.

Dental Inlays
When a large area of decay (cavity) exists in the centre of a tooth, but the rest of the tooth structure is intact, a ceramic inlay may be a better restoration than a normal filling.
First, the dentist will remove the decay. After preparing the area, we scan it with a 3D camera. The inlay is designed as a perfectly-fitted piece of ceramic and milled while you wait in our CEREC machine.
Compared to a large filling, a ceramic inlay will last longer and be less likely to need rework. So you can use your tooth like normal again, keep your tooth, and your whole health habits!
Dental Onlays
When a large area of decay (cavity) compromises a large area of the tooth including multiple cusps (corners), a ceramic onlay may be possible instead of a large filling complete dental crown.
First, the dentist will remove the decay and damaged cusps. After preparing the area, we scan it with a 3D camera. The onlay is designed to fit perfectly into the removed space and milled while you wait in our CEREC machine.
Compared to a large filling, an onlay will last longer and be less likely to need rework. It also preserves more of your natural tooth structure than the installation of a complete crown.
