Dr. Jeffrey Ma, DDS - Owner
Hi. If you’re reading this, you’re probably looking for a new dentist.
You’ve probably read a lot of “About the Dentist” pages with lists of schools and certifications. Is that really what you’re looking for? Do they really help you know who the dentist is, or how they will take care of you? Not really.
You probably already know I have all the requirements necessary to be your dentist. So this is going to be different. I promise.
What’s really important – and you deserve to know – is why you should trust me with you and your family’s dental health.
So here’s my story. I hope it helps you decide, and I hope to hear your story someday too!

Dr. Genevieve Braganza-Kani, DMD
I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, before heading west to pursue my education. I earned an H.BSc from the University of Waterloo, followed by a Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
After practicing dentistry in Saskatchewan for several years, my family and I made the move to Calgary. We were drawn to the city's energy, diversity, and incredible access to the outdoors, and we have loved making it our home.
As a dentist, I am committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair. I believe that building trust and creating a positive experience are just as important as delivering high-quality dental treatment.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two kids. I am passionate about autism awareness and advocacy, which has given me a deeper appreciation for the unique dental health needs of many children and families. When we're not busy with activities and family adventures, you'll often find us exploring Calgary and visiting local parks,
I am excited to be part of the team at Friends and Family Dental Health and look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve a healthy, confident smile.

Ashleigh, RDH
I’m from a small town in Northern Ontario. I knew I wanted to be a hygienist at a very young age, as teeth have always fascinated me!
I did a co-op placement in High School, which lead to a part-time job. I started my career by studying Dental Assisting and graduated as a Dental Hygienist in 2010.
After graduation, I made my way up to Iqaluit, Nunavut to gain experience. I met my future husband and continued a long distance relationship that lead me out West. We now live in Okotoks with our young son!
Hygiene is my passion and I enjoy taking continuing education courses and learning new techniques.

Kayla, RDA
I was born in Calgary and I’ve been a Dental Assistant since 2012.
Outside of work my free time is in high demand… I adore animals and I love video games.
I’m also an avid reader. My favourite way to travel is by cruise, so it’s hard to beat the combination — a new book (or three) plus endless views and relaxing over the open water!

Chelsey, RDA
Born and raised in Calgary, I’ve been working as a dental assistant for nearly a decade.
Outside of the office, I love spending time with my husband, our son, and our dog — whether we’re exploring Fish Creek Park or getting together with family.
Building strong relationships with patients is the most rewarding part of my job, and I strive to make every visit as comfortable and positive as possible.

Andrea, Office Manager
I’ve been in the dental industry for over 20 years, and a part of the Friends and Family dental team since 2014.
I’m originally from Kelowna BC, and moved to Calgary as a young child.
I enjoy spending my spare time with my two children, playing golf, and travelling. In the Winter, I especially enjoy escaping the cold by travelling to tropical destinations.
I’m happy to be part of an excellent team, getting to know each patient, and watching younger patients grow up through the years!

Becky, Dental Administrator
I’ve worked in the dental industry for almost 40 years in multiple capacities.
I love getting to know my patients and ensuring each visit is a great experience.
Outside work, I’m an avid reader, baker, and piano teacher. In the Summer I spend every weekend at our place right behind Lundbreck Falls and enjoy golfing in Crowsnest Pass.
